You are a graphic designer and have been given the task of creating a logo and design for one of the following. In your design, be sure your artwork is eye-catching and unique. Option 1: New sports team logo and jersey design. Draw your own or use this image as a template. Option 2: New food. Create a design and logo for the box. Draw your own or use this image as a template. This could be a cereal box, box of cookies, or other food idea. Option 3: New Design of your own. This design must be for a completely new product. Requirements: *Your team, food or product of your choosing must have an original name. *Your overall design needs to include the name your have chosen. *Your design should fill the whole space. *Color your work or label your design with the colors you would use. Work with materials that you have at home... pencil, paper, markers or you may work digitally. *I hope this week's assignment finds you well. I cannot believe it is already May. This week you will be creating a personalized illustration. I hope you will have a special person in mind while you are creating your work this week. Just as your will upload a digital image of your artwork for grading purposes, if you are creating this for someone you do not live with, you may be able to email or text them the image until there is a better time to see them in person. We do have Mother's day coming up this weekend, this assignment could be the perfect artwork gift for someone special in your life.

Earth Day is Wednesday April 22, what better way to celebrate and create artwork that using the natural materials found right in your back yard. If you cannot use found materials outside, think about found materials you may inside. Think outside the box and Try your best!!! **As Richard Shilling mentioned in his interview in the article above, try for the best possible lighting when photographing your artwork. **Check that your name is on the photograph of the work your are submitting. *While creating your artwork, think about the following ideas we have discussed earlier this school year. -Emphasis: What is the most important part of your artwork? What do you want to be most noticed in your artwork? -Composition: All pieces of your artwork should be relevant. Think about the images, text, background, etc. -Color Schemes: What color or colors are you using? Do the colors represent a mood or feeling? -Spacing: How will you fill the space of your artwork surface, whether it is a poster, photograph, or sidewalk space. Also, think about spacing and planning when handwriting text. *Tip: count the letters or words and work from the middle to keep everything centered.
