You are a graphic designer and have been given the task of re-designing the logo or branding for a product. In your design, be sure your artwork is eye-catching and unique.
*Design of your own. Step 1: Choose a product to re-design. This may be a sports team logo and jersey, a box of food or other product of your choosing. Step 2: Upload an image of the chosen product to your weebly website. Step 3:Upload an image of your re-designed product to your weebly website. Step 4: Write a brief description. Why did you choose this product? Why do you feel your re-design is more eye catching? Step 5: EMAIL me when you have completed your work! Requirements: *Your overall design needs to include the name your chosen product. *Your design should fill the whole space. *Color your work or label your design with the colors you would use. Use materials your have at home. You may work paper/pencil or digitally. I hope this week's assignment finds you well. I cannot believe it is already May. I miss seeing you all in the classroom and I miss the magic of watching you create on a daily basis. I hope this week you will be able to work 'outside the box' and enjoy working with something other than paper and pencil/marker/pen. NATURE ARTWORK... 1. Read the Article below. An interview of Richard Shilling and his process of creating Land Art. **Additional Land and Nature artists and their works listed at the bottom of this blog post. 2. Create Land Artwork of your own. Here is Richard Shilling's process: Step 1) Go somewhere and open your eyes. (Stay safe, Use found items inside or outside, Have your parents permission) Step 2) Look at what is there and see the colors and shapes and forms (Look for multiples, repetition.) Step 3) Select some materials that appeal to you because of their shape or color or whatever else (Do not pick, pluck or cut items - Use what is already laying around) Step 4) Collect as many as you can Step 5) Make a pattern, swirl, circle, spiral or anything you like with what you have found 3. Photograph and Upload your work to Weebly. Include a 2-3 sentence written reflection with your work. **Please email me with any questions or concerns. Anything at all, even if it is not related to this week's assignment. **As Richard Shilling mentioned in his interview in the article above, try for the best possible lighting when photographing your artwork.
